DESIGNATE A DRIVER

The Designate a Driver program requests that motorists commit a labor of love by designating a driver for celebrations that include the drinking of alcoholic beverages. The program is easy and anyone can participate. Simply plan ahead and designate a driver.

The primary focus of this program is on the four deadliest holidays of the year: Labor Day, Holiday Season (November 24 - January 2), St. Patrick's Day, and Memorial Day. However, the Designate a Driver program can be utilized any time to ensure a safe ride home.

The designated driver drinks only non-alcoholic beverages and provides safe and sober transportation for companions. Ask your local MADD entity for Designate a Driver stickers or lapel pins and set up a Designated Driver system with your friends for all occasions.

Designating a driver helps your friends avoid embarrassment, keep their driver's licenses, and avoid fines and jail time. Most importantly it supplies "life insurance for your group's trip home."
