MAACO FRANCHISEES SUPPORT MADD'S CAMPAIGN TO ELIMINATE DRUNK DRIVING

Philadelphia, PA - July 13, 2009

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is proud to announce that Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting is the newest corporate supporter of MADD's Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving in Pennsylvania.  To jumpstart their support, Maaco will be conducting an awareness and fundraising campaign in their home market of Philadelphia.

"In 2007, 500 Pennsylvanians were killed in drunk driving crashes," said Rebecca Shaver, MADD's state executive director.  "Since each of these deaths are preventable, MADD is grateful to Maaco for their commitment to making the roads and highways safer."

Between now and the end of July, consumers can stop by a participating Maaco location in the greater Philadelphia area to donate to MADD's life saving work.

"For over 35 years Maaco has helped families after a car crash and we want to help stop the crash before it happens again," said Maaco Vice President Tom Monaghan.  "MADD's Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving does just that - helps make sure no one is killed or injured in a drunk driving crash."

Maaco will host a Classic Car Show on Saturday, September 26 to benefit MADD.  Classic car enthusiasts are asked to contact participating Maaco locations for more details.  All of the entry fees and on-site fundraising will be donated to MADD PA.  The winner of Maaco's Classic Car Show will be featured at Philadelphia's Walk Like MADD event on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

MADD's Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving calls for ignition interlocks for all convicted drunk drivers, intensive high-visibility law enforcement, exploration and development of advanced vehicle-based technology, and mobilization of grassroots support.  For more information, explore our website or call 1-800-848-6233.
