VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Help stop drunk driving, assist the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking by participating in...

Victim Advocacy
Become a trained victim advocate, facilitate a support group, plan a candlelight vigil, coordinate and/or speak on a victim impact panel, or join our victim services committee.

Public Policy
Join our public policy committee and work to enact new laws and strengthen existing ones, visit and/or write legislators, or become a trained court monitor and attend trials and hearings to make sure penalties are appropriate, the law is being followed, and victims' rights are being observed by the court.

Fundraising
Help organize and implement a fundraiser on the state or local level, or give an in-kind gift, useful item or service. Offer a few hours a week to perform general office duties or simply make a financial contribution.

Public Awareness
Become a MADD speaker to communities, schools, and other organizations. Help design and write a newsletter to keep everyone informed of MADD happenings. Man a booth at a health/safety fair and/or recruit more volunteers.

Leadership
Get involved at the state or local level and guide and advise local entities as we all work on our life-saving mission. Become a MADD county point of contact or a regional MADD Advisory Council Member.

Youth Initiatives
Join a coalition or policy group to address youth alcohol and drug issues. Speak to youth audiences, parent groups or legislators concerning the problem of underage drinking. Help get a UMADD started at a local university or college. Promote MADD's educational programs and award winning multi-media shows.
